Some decisions need an independent point of view to help you sharpen your focus and define your strategy.

You see the whole business. Everyone around you sees a part of it.

Your leadership team brings expertise, but they also bring responsibilities, relationships and their own point of view. Your board, investors and family may have perspectives of their own.

Sometimes what you need is someone independent — someone who can challenge the assumption, ask the question nobody inside the business is asking, and help you think through the consequences before you act.

Your coach isn’t there to make the call. They’re there to make sure it’s been examined before you do.

Your coach has sat in the chair, and has nothing riding on your answer.

1-to-1 coaching gives you that private, confidential space.

If there’s a decision on your desk right now, let’s talk it through.

Why we blend coaching and mentoring

There are times when the most useful thing another person can do is ask the question that changes how you see the problem.

There are other times when experience matters — when someone who has led businesses, managed people and faced similar decisions can say, “Here’s what I’ve seen before.”

Effective executive coaching requires both.

Coaching helps you uncover your own answer. Mentoring gives you another experienced perspective to consider.

The goal isn’t dependency on an advisor. It’s clearer thinking, stronger judgment and better decisions when the stakes are high.

Coaching and Mentoring: how the two work together

Every session moves from what’s pressing to what changes.

Challenge
Perspective
Action
Impact
UrgentWhat’s demanding your attention? The decision, conflict, opportunity or concern that’s taking up space in your head.
ChallengeWhat are you not seeing? Separate urgency from importance. Test assumptions. Look at the issue from outside the organization.
PerspectiveWhat changes when you look at it differently? Challenge the current framing. Consider alternatives. Draw on relevant experience.
ActionWhat are you going to do? Turn thinking into a decision, conversation, action or deliberate decision to wait.
ImpactWhat changed? Revisit important decisions. Learn from what happened. Carry that learning into the next one.
Long TermNot everything important is urgent. Some work addresses today’s issue. Other work builds toward the future — your leadership team, the business, succession, your role, or the decisions you’ve been putting off.
ChallengeWhere are you trying to go? Define what you want the business — and your role in it — to look like two or three years from now.
PerspectiveWhat could get in the way? Test whether today’s priorities, assumptions and decisions are actually moving you toward that goal.
ActionWhat moves it forward now? Break the goal into meaningful steps and work them forward session by session.
ImpactAre you getting closer? Measure progress against the goal, learn from what happens and adjust the course as conditions change.

A conversation with no organizational agenda.

What’s said stays confidential. Nothing discussed here goes back to your team, your board, or anyone else without your say-so.

That matters. It gives you room to say what you’re actually thinking, question decisions you’ve already made, explore ideas that aren’t ready for the organization, and work through problems without having to manage anyone else’s reaction.

A confidential space to test ideas, solve friction, and work through tough decisions.

A private sounding board for the business and leadership issues that are difficult to work through inside the organization.

You set the agenda. We bring an independent point of view, thoughtful challenge, and the structure to turn reflection into action.
